How to Make Monster Cookie

We are gonna start out the way all great cookie recipe do and that is with some butter and sugar.Start with adding the butter to the mixer and make sure that it is softened to room temperature that is very important, if your butter isn’t soft, it will not incorporate properly and next, add brown sugar I like to use dark brown sugar because it has a lot of moisture and it gives the cookies a really rich caramel flavor next, some granulated sugar and then cream those ingredients until they are nice, light and fluffy.
If your sugar start sticking to the bottom of the bowl, all you have to do is grab your trusty spatula give it a scrape.
Then add the next ingredient and that is peanut butter and mix it one more time, next add one large egg(room temperature),egg yolk, and vanilla, until well blended. The added egg yolk adds richness, and helps these monster cookies to bake up extra soft.
Lot of cookie recipe would call for you to stir all the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl, personally I hate dishes so I came out with a way to make these monster cookies all in one bowl so to do that, you want to sprinkle your salt and baking soda right over the top and then mix a little bit until they’re combined and slowly add the flour with the mixer running on low. Now, we have just one more dry ingredient to add and that is old-fashioned rolled oats (I like using old-fashioned oats in this recipe because they are a little harder, they give the cookie a really nice texture).
Now, things about to get more delicious, this is where the monster part of monster cookies comes in. Add in chocolate chips and m&m’s, I like to use dark chocolate m&m’s but you can use whatever you like !grab you spatula and just get in there and finally, scoop them onto your baking sheet which is lined with parchment paper and pop the cookies into the over and let them bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
