Magical Nutty hummus

This magical nutty hummus uses chickpeas, apples, carrots, celery sticks, and some tasty ingredients that turn the plate into an unforgettable one.


(serves 2)

  • 380g chickpeas
  • Lemon zest and juice
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoon roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon rapeseed oil
  • 2 red apples
  • 2 carrots
  • 4 celery sticks



Core the red apples and slice them into moderate pieces. Peel and cut the carrots into sticks, no more than 2 inches in length. Cut the celery sticks lengthways to form long half-slices.


Combine the chickpeas with the lemon zest, lemon juice, tahini, paprika, peanuts, and rapeseed oil in a food processor with a tablespoon or two of water. Process until a thick paste has formed. Serve with the carrots, celery, and apple.
