How to Make an Almond Pecan Sheet Cake
First thing u wanna do is the cake, so u start by taking a sauce pot and add in water and then the butter and then what u wanna do is to take this over to the stove top and heat it up on a medium heat with stirring occasionally until it starts to bubble a little bit.
When it does take it off to the stove and to that you will add:
•sugar •flour •sour cream •almond extract •salt •baking soda •eggs
Then, you take a 10×15 sheet pan and go ahead and pour the ingredients into it and bake it for 20 minutes in the oven.
NOTE:A 9×13 baking pan won’t work because the center will not finish cooking while the edges will burn. This is a sheet cake and is only supposed to be about 1 1/2 inches to 2 inches tall at most.
Now let’s start our frosting, in a sauce pan add in milk and butter and let it heat up until it starts to bubble a little bit, and of course not a full rolling boil and stir constantly. You don’t want scaled milk, then take it off the heat and put the other ingredients:
•confectioners sugar •almond extract •1 cup finely chopped pecans
NOTE:Add the confectioner’s sugar 1 cup at a time.
